Last June, on the occasion of 30 years of the creative presence of Costas Cacoyannis in the musical events of Cyprus, a great tribute to his work was presented at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, with great success.
Before continuing his journey to other countries, the show will be presented in Lefkosia and Lemesos. The prominent composer chooses typical samples of music and songs he has composed for theater, cinema and television and presents them with renowned and young artists. With the participation of the Voice Ensemble and the Dance Group of "Diastasis", as well as exceptional instrumentalists and many forms of art.
Kostas Kakoyiannis is considered one of the most important contemporary Cypriot music composers. His work has represented Cyprus in many countries and covers all areas of musical creation. He draws inspiration from Cypriot traditional music, assimilates and develops Cypriot motifs and he uses all the traditional Cypriot musical instruments.
