A few words about the musicians
Tatiana Stupak (piano) started learning the piano at age five, studying at the Special School of the Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory in St. Petersburg, and after that, for a further five years, continuing at the Conservatory itself. The winner of international music competitions including the Leipzig Bach competition. She has performed in Austria and Germany as well as in Russia. Tatiana is now based in Cyprus, where she is well known, having played many times in the last few years, in Limassol, Monagri, Nicosia, Paphos, and at Kourion Ancient Amphitheatre, both as a solo pianist and accompanying other musicians. She arranges charity concerts for children and for the church, and brings famous musicians from Russia, for example from the Bolshoi Theatre. She opened the Tatiana Stupak School of Music in 2018, for piano and other instruments, and for teaching music subjects; the teachers are prize-winning professionals.
Marianna Doncheva was born in Chisinau, in the Republic of Moldova, in May 1969. At the age of six years, when her talent for music was evident, she started her violin music education in the E.Coca special music school, in the class of N.Buinovschi (a student of Igor Oistrakh). From 1987 to 1992 she continued to study violin in the Gavriil Musicescu State Conservatory of Music, in the class of Professor Boris Dubosarschi, the eminent Moldovan viola player and composer for violin. In 1992-2003 she worked at the TeleRadio Moldova Symphony Orchestra. She was then invited to be Leader of the State Symphony Orchestra in Tiraspol, Moldova, where she remained until 2015. She has worked as first violin with several orchestras: the Philharmonic State Orchestra in Moldova, the Tele-Radio Moldova Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Moldova State Theatre Opera-Ballet, and has played in operatic and symphonic programmes, as well as giving solo performances with several orchestras. She has had many concerts in Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Great Britain, Ireland, Romania and most recently in Cyprus. Since 2015 she has been living in Limassol, Cyprus, where she is leader of the second violins in the Commandaria String Orchestra (conductor Francis Guy), and also leader of the second violins in the Avanti Crossover Symphonic Orchestra. She is now also a violin teacher at the Tatiana Stupak School of Music in Limassol.
Pavel Rotaru was born in Chisinau, Moldova, in June 1976. From age six, he started to learn the violin at the Ciprian Porumbescu Lyceum of Music in the class of Ch.Paraschiv. In 1994 he continued his education in The Gavriil Musicescu State Univerity of Arts in the class of N.Hosh (a student of Dmitriy Tsyganov). From 1996-99 he worked at the TeleRadio Moldova Symphony Orchestra as a tutti first violinist. He held the same post in other orchestras: from 1999–2000 with the National Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, Chisinau, from 2000–2005 with the Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, Botosani (Romania), and from 2001–2005 with the S.Luchian Music Lyceum, Botosani (Romania). He was violin teacher from 2005–2008 in the National Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, Chisinau. In 2008 he was invited to the State Symphony Orchestra, Tiraspol (Moldova) as Assistant Leader, where he stayed until 2015. He took part in many concert tours as first violin in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Great Britain, Ireland, South Korea, and Romania with the National Philharmonic Orchestra (Moldova), with the Philharmonic State Orchestra (Botosani, Romania) and with the orchestra of the Moldovan State Theatre Opera-Ballet playing operatic and symphonic programmes. He also played as soloist with several orchestras. In 2015, he moved to Limassol, Cyprus, where he is leader of the Commandaria Chamber Orchestra (conductor Francis Guy). Also, he is leader of the Avanti Crossover Symphony Orchestra. He is now also a teacher of classical violin and guitar at the Tatiana Stupak School of Music in Limassol.
