India Gate restaurant in Limassol was opened in March 2016 with the aim to deliver authentic Indian cuisine, a thing which we believe it had been missing from the town and Cyprus in general.
For this task, we needed a highly specialized and experienced chef. Fortunately with Mr.. Tejavoth Krishna as our head chief we are trying to raise the level of Indian cuisine in the island. Mr. Tejavoth came directly from CAI - the Culinary Academy of India - as a head instructor. His help and experience in the vast Indian cuisine is the founding stone of our restaurant. We praise his work, so our customers do.
Our charcoal tandoori ovens give the definite homemade taste, the use of traditional products for the preparation of our food -we source more that a hundred spices- using specialized wet grinders for our Masalas give something different than the usual. We try to use as much as fresh meat and milk as we can and our Paneer cheese is prepared out of fresh milk. We thrive to offer the best taste, the best experience.
Available also is a very good selection of wines and champagnes. Our bar offers alcohol, draft and bottled beers including Cobra beer, soft drinks, juices and of course traditional Indian tea and Lassi.
