The Carlsberg Pancyprian Official Beauty Contest is the only legal and official beauty contest in Cyprus and is conducted in cooperation with international organisations. The institution of beauty contest is a very ancient institution, of Greek origin and has a worldwide appeal. Our ancient ancestors were the first to invent the institution of beauty contest, because they attached great importance to beauty and worshipped it as the ideal expression of all that is good. Paris was the first to give the apple of beauty to Aphrodite, the Goddess of Beauty and Love.
