Our client, a Leading International Family Office based in Limassol that is part of a large financial investment group, is looking to hire a Cross Asset (Derivatives) Trader & Investment Analyst to be based at their office here in Cyprus.
His/her main task will be to actively support the growing investment activities of the group. He/she will directly report to the Luxembourg/Cypriot entity Director and collaborate actively with the London-based advisory team.
Job Description
Cross-Asset Pricing and Execution: Price 1D/Derivatives strategies, send pricing requests and trade instructions to counterparties, monitor trade execution and post-trade processing on a wide array of assets: Shares, Bonds, OTC & Listed derivatives, FX, Future, Swops, TRS…
Investment structuring: Contribute to investment optimisation via the use of varied OTC derivative instruments.
Risk Management: Contribute to the capital markets risk analysis, collateral optimization, and monitoring, alongside providing consistent risk management views on investments.
Cash and Treasury management: follow multi-currency cash positions, elaborate cash flow forecasts, and execute time deposits, FX swap, and cash management trades.
Front-Office Monitoring: Maintain Excel & Bloomberg Blotters / Valuation files / Risk management / reporting tools / market screening tools (Volatility)
The selected candidate will participate in the regular internal investment meetings with both the Luxembourg & London teams
Internal Communication: Prepare internal memos on trades implemented, investment cases, position updates, risk metrics etc
Investment Analysis: Depending on professional experience and abilities, will conduct research and analysis on potential investment opportunities (either as lead analyst on certain investment projects such as PE, VC, real estate) or assist the London based senior advisers (for more complex cases in Equity/Fixed Income opportunities) and elaborate investment case presentations. Particularly focusing on the group's participation in Capital Markets transactions such as IPOs and ABBs. (Not a Must)
Requirements
Experience: Solid experience required in a Front-Office/Capital Markets position within a reputable Investment/Private bank or an asset/wealth management company (as execution trader, junior portfolio manager, financial adviser)
3/5 years' experience in Derivatives (preferably Equity Derivatives) is an absolute must.
Education: Degree in market finance. CFA program will be considered an important plus.
Technical knowledge: Strong knowledge of different asset classes, financial instruments (especially derivatives) and execution techniques.
IT Skills: Advanced use of Excel (VBA a plus) and Bloomberg. Will be tested during the selection process.
Ability to quickly grasp and understand technical investment ideas, trading and risk related issues.
Able to fit seamlessly into an international team of senior people all focused on delivering work of exceptional quality to their principals
Detail oriented with a commitment to consistently high standards of work output
Excellent oral and written communication skills (fluency in oral and written English is a requirement).
The position will require flexible working hours in order to cover the Asian, European and US Markets trading hours.
