Vedior-Select Cyprus, on behalf of its client, a leading international software development company specialising in billing telecommunication companies, is seeking to employ a Senior UNIX Administrator.

•Minimum of Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related fields
•Minimum of 5 years experience in UNIX system administration
•Prior experience in Enterprise UNIX environments
•Industry certifications on UNIX OS is advantageous
•Expert UNIX administration knowledge of SUN, HP and AIX OS
•Functional knowledge on 3rd party software’s and Gnu’s installation and license handling
•Knowledge of enterprise backup and DRP operations
•Knowledge on advanced shell scripting
•Functional knowledge on UNIX security
•Knowledge of Linux and Tru64 flavors is advantageous
•Effective communication skills

Handling day–to-day UNIX activities through mails and HD call requests
•Installation and configuration as per the standards and project needs
•Onsite and remote support to external customers
•Reorganizing projects on different servers as per the new/ongoing requirements
•Performance monitoring
