Job Description
A new opportunity has arisen for an IT & Maritime Technical Support Officer to join our 24/7 desktop support team in Limassol.
The successful candidate will understand and manage the technical aspects of service delivery to the standards and procedures agreed with customers, including problem investigation, support documentation and technical coaching.
You will be expected to provide IT and Maritime Technical support to customers and internal staff and will ensure that calls for support are dealt with promptly and appropriately.

Responsibilities
- dealing directly with clients on Computer/Network related issues
- assisting and liaising with the IT & Development Department
- entering and extracting data from and to bespoke software
- assisting internal employees on day-to-day matters
- installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, scanners and more
- planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades
- talking to clients and computer users to determine the nature of problems
- responding to breakdowns
- investigating, diagnosing and solving computer software and hardware faults
- repairing equipment and replacing parts
- Shift and on-call work may be required, particularly where computing equipment is in continual 24-hour operation

Skills and experience
- 2+ years experience in IT support
- Excellent customer services skills
- a thorough knowledge of operating systems, networking, hardware and software
- excellent problem-solving skills
- the ability to explain problems and solutions clearly to non-technical users
- the ability to prioritize, work under pressure and meet deadlines
- a patient and methodical approach
- the ability to work alone or as part of a team
- an awareness of health and safety.
- a professional telephone manner
- excellent oral and written knowledge of the English language
- knowledge of Greek and Russian languages would be considered an advantage
Required Qualifications
BSc in Computer Science or equivalent
