Summer 2013 - Present, Tech Lead at Yandex Russia

Formed a brand new team that developed “Yandex.Tickets” from the scratch - a service selling movie tickets country-wide, Fandango’s competitor in Russia. Our product launched in August of 2014 and as of today it processes about 40,000 orders daily with up to 200 rps to backend services. It is hosted in 3 datacenters, using 3 instances of MongoDB replica sets. At this moment I am leading a team of 7 people - 1 QA, 3 backend devs, 2 front-end devs, and 1 sys admin. We are working on expanding our services to cover theatre and music show tickets, and implementing a unique service to lookup tickets from all providers in a single hall plan.

Key achievements:

• designed and developed RESTful API to be used by front-end
• components, mobile apps and partners; designed failover sync and async processing for ticket orders;
• designed failover billing processing with 2 billing systems integrated;
• integrated our product with 3 ticket sales partners covering about 90% of all movie theaters in Russia;
• covered all core functionality with unit and integration tests (over 1,000 tests);
• implemented continuous integration using TeamCity to run builds, unit tests, code analysis and creation of debian packages;
• automated deployment process; implemented monitoring for all critical issues and dependencies - sales, billing, MongoDB, sms/email notifications, and tickets generation.

Fall 2010 - Summer 2013, Team Lead at Afisha and Rambler United Company

First platform in Russia unifying sales of tickets online. Platform allowed partner sites to integrate movie, theater and music shows tickets sales using widget.

Technology stack: ASP.NET, MVC, MS SQL Server, AppFabric Caching.

About 15 million views daily and 50K tickets sold monthly.

Key achievements:

Spring 2010 - Summer 2010, Team Lead at WMJ.ru

WomanJournal.ru is a major online magazine in Russia. I led a team of 5 people: 1 QA, 2 sys admins and 2 web developers. Setup team foundation server. Based on it, build a system of continuous integration, introduced around the office bug-tracker, has significantly improved the performance of the code and the database.

Fall 2006 - Winter 2010, Developer, Senior Developer at TagWorld/Flux

TagWorld (later Flux) was a social network startup with unique user experience like e-commerce, chat, music discovery and etc. Started as a dev eloper on TagWorld social

commerce project, was promoted to a senior developer within a year. Was responsible for both front-end and back-end development; user identity features (auth, profile, fb integration, etc); developed ASP.NET viewstate-free aproach for AJAX pages-controls to improve pages perfomance.

Expertise in building high load, high performance, consumer facing apps and services.

Skilled team lead managing development life-cycle using agile practices. In the last 2 years I developed using Java stack (jetty, spring framework, spring mvc), Zookeeper and MongoDB. Prior to that, for about 10 years I developed using Microsoft stack .NET, ASP.NET MVC, IIS, WCF, MS SQL and more.
