Currently work as Group Accounts Manager for Q Hotels Ltd, responsible for Purchase Ledger including payment runs for 21 hotels, Sales Ledger, Bank Reconciliations, Direct Debit Runs for 19 hotels and preparing accounts to Trial Balance. Have held and developed this position over the last 10 years with 2 different hotel chains. Previous to that I was the Management Accountant for a small family run firm and responsible for Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Prcessing Wages, Forecasting, Budgeting and Mangement Accounts.
Prior to this I worked for the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds responsible for Sales Ledger and all aspects of Payroll. I implemented many systems and prcedures that tightened controls for the company.
I worked for Hilton Hotels for 8 years starting out as a Junior Receptionist, soon became Shift Leader through drive and enthusiasm. I then became the Night Auditor checking the days revenue ensuring everything was accurate and banking the days takings for al hotel departments. I then became Night Manager, responsible for the Night Team yet continuing to do Night Audit. After 2 years in nights I then became Assistant Financial Controller, responsilbe for Purchase Ledger, Payroll and preparing accounts. I then became Financial Controller for a year before moving to the small family firm.
