After leaving school I secured a Technical Apprenticeship at Flexibox Limited, part of Burmah Castrol.
The first year was spent on ‘off the job training’ at North Trafford College.
For the following two years I worked on block release, between college terms was spent in all departments within the company.
From this the company and I decided that my interests were in the Design Office.
Thereafter the company enrolled me on a full time 3 year HND course at Salford Technical College, in between terms was spent in the Design Office at Flexibox.
After completing the course I was made a Junior Draughtsman and placed in the Design Office until I was 25. After this I was made up to Draughtsman.
