Original plan proposed by client to use MS Access on a single PC as the migration platform of choice – Client adopted recommendation to use Sequel Server 7 on a Compaq Proliant 3000 Server using NT. Access 97, Sequel 7 SQL, Visual Basic 6 and ODBC to manipulate data. Responsible for the specification, set-up, maintenance and support of the Migration Network system.

Implemented the automated migration of the Sales and Distribution module of SAP in the specific areas of Customers (including the automated linking of Business Partners), Open Sales Orders, Customer Discounts/Uplifts and Material Price Lists. Specified business requirements for data mapping. Reverse engineered customised legacy system to source raw data, much of which had to be manipulated and recalculated to provide migratable data.
